I usually make it a policy of not judging groups as a whole by their comments' section. Both the right and left have their fair share of lunatics. It would be unfair to judge a side based on a few wackos.
However, I don't easily buy into the notion that the critical comments were among the lefties at HuffPo. Drudge and Malkin had already posted the photo, and there are plenty of centrists and right-wingers who comprise the HuffPo commenters.
If you really want to look at some looniness, check out the comments on Hamsher's own blog. In their mind, of course, this whole controversy is Lieberman's fault.
Finally, political debate is always going to have shots at "lefties" and "righties". Clearly, you've taken some shots at the "right". So be it. As for people who don't agree with me... They are all poopie-heads! Is that any better?
